O'Munaciello, Florence

Neapolitan pizzerias have been popping up all over Florence as a much anticipated improvement on the Florentine's version of pizza. O'Munaciello is another authentic spot to get the delicious thin crust pizza Italy is famous for, with a bit of style. Munaciello is well known for its dark but comfortable atmosphere, and if you're dining in, take a moment to soak in the ambiance. With a selection of gourmet antipasti and side dishes, all made from fresh ingredients, it is more than a typical hole-in-the-wall pizzeria. There are many choices on the menu, and good service as well. It may be hard to find, hidden off in what seems to be an abandoned alleyway of Via Maffia, but the reward is worth the search. -Annie Bettis
