Parigine (Le), Florence

An ice cream parlor located in between the Duomo and the Museo dell'Accademia, Le Parigine sells artisan ice creams, water-ices and, in winter, hot chocolate with whipped cream too. Le Parigine refers to the name that was given to ice cream between two thin wafers sold on the road at the beginning of the last century in Italy. Le Parigine proudly boasts to use nothing but the best ingredients, sourced from around the world, and seasonal fruits only. The ice cream flavors are kept fresh and cool in the old fashioned cylindrical containers, and behind a glass, you can see the preparation of ice cream in the lab at one end of the room. - Maria Frullini
