Customers are queuing outside Spera to eat their delicious, world prize-winning pizza. At Spera’s it is done Neapolitan-style, thick and soft, and they offer a wide choice. Their specialties include Pizza Fantasia, the 2002 world champion, dressed with truffle, porcini mushrooms, nuts, gorgonzola and taleggio cheese among other ingredients. The Southern Pizza sizzles with red onions, hot calabrian sausage and buttery buffalo mozzarella. But they also serve lighter and more traditional pizzas and focaccia. Sometimes pizzas with wholemeal or corn flour bases are also available. No booking is accepted here and the place is quite small, but their pizza is worth the trip. - Maria Frullini
