A part of the cultural landscape of the city since 1911, the Teatro di Rifredi has survived the test of time. Originally founded under the Societa di Mutuo Soccorso di Rifredi, this theater was burned down by the fascist regime in 1922 and turned into the Casa del Fascio. However, with the fall of fascism, this theater was resurrected as a cultural events venue, and in the 1970s was operating under the name ‘Humor Side’, presenting shows ripe with satirical humor. It is in 1986 that the theater came under the Pupi e Fresedde company and has been since then an integral part of the theatrical circuit of the city. A visit to this theater is a must for those who are keen on discovering the city’s rich creative and artistic potential. See the website for more information.
