This place was once popular with the porters from the Santa Maria Novella railway station, but is now a place to go when you want to eat some traditional food. You should start with the classic chicken liver crostini and the tasty croquettes, then move on to the pappa al pomodoro, the ribollita (a grain soup), or the pappardelle with rabbit sauce. Obviously you can't leave without trying the steak alla fiorentina cooked over charcoal. You can accompany all this with a good Chianti della Rufina. It has two dining rooms and can seat 50 people.
