Overview
One of the most famous Renaissance sculptures, David is a popular attraction in Florence. A masterpiece created by Michelangelo, the sculpture has been on display at the Galleria dell'Accademia since 1873. Apart from being a subject of honor to the Republican principles of Florence, it is also the most perfect example of fine art. Depicting divinity, this 17-foot marble statue of the biblical slayer of Goliath is not to be missed.
