Volpi e l'Uva (Le), Florence

Le Volpi e l'Uva, just a stones throw from the Ponte Vecchio, is the perfect place for people who love good wine. They have two strings to their bow - the wine shop and the wine bar, and between the two of them, over a hundred prestigious French and Italian wines are on offer. Periodically there are guided wine tastings exploring Californian, Chilean and New Zealand wines. To go with the wines, excellent Brie cheese is served as well as Pecorino, ribollita, meats, pâté, savory cakes and herrings. The desserts are all homemade and change every day. Service is over the counter and during the summer, one can sit at little tables outside in the piazza.
