A penguin underneath the hot summer sun along the Camogli promenade may seem like a crazy joke, but you can really see one, and best of all: eat it. In fact, pinguino is the name of the famous specialty of the Auriga, one of the best-known bars in town since, because other than the good cocktails, there is also genuine handmade gelato. The penguin is among them – a cream-based flavor on a cone and covered with melted chocolate, all upside down in order to keep it cold. You can also try it in a big cup, sitting at one of the little tables of the wonderful terrace which looks down at the beach. You can also try the other flavors created by the young owners, called Re (King) and Camogli, which definitely will not disappoint you.
