It is hidden beside the train station and not widely promoted in the town, but the Museo Marinaro should represent a fixed stop for whoever visits the seaside village of Camogli, 25 km (15.5 mi) from the center of Genoa. Inside this little museum dating back to 1937 there have been collecting: three centuries of pictures, documents, historical relics, ship models, photos and everything else about people who lived a strictly maritime lifestyle (actually most of the population). It is really emotional to read the precise and fully comprehensive descriptions of the objects on display, telling the real stories of many people who once lived in a glorious past. And there are even some hand-written original documents and some relics owned by Garibaldi and his fellows.
