Carillon, Palermo

This is an elegant, refined place that takes its name from the many modern and antique music boxes found around the room. As well as the original interior with its beautiful wine bar, the restaurant has a small terrace facing the street, where you can eat summer or winter thanks to strategically located heaters. The food ranges from traditional Italian fare to delicacies reminiscent of North European cuisine, whilst the pizzas are particularly good. The tagliatelle with prawns, and the involtini di speck and the filled pasta are well worth trying. There is a sufficient wine list served by faultless waiters.
