Cha Tea Center, Palermo

This fine café, which opened in 2007, is the ideal place for a relaxing evening or a night of chats with friends, sipping a cup of tea, an excellent hot chocolate or a glass of good wine, caressed by soft lights and background music. Cha provides more than 100 fine tea selections served in nice teapots and cups, and served with fragrant homemade biscuits. Gourmands will satisfy their whims with the very good cakes offered, mainly from Anglo-Saxon tradition: cheesecake, chocolate cake, coconut cake, plum cake with chantilly cream and the Cha dessert: a sort of cream puff with berry sauce. Something more typical of Palermo is the great Parfait, a traditional dessert of gelato and roasted almonds served with a wonderful chocolate sauce. There’s a wide top-quality wine list for happy hour or after dinner, and it is also possible to dine with good single dishes, crêpes, piadine or the soup of the day. The Cha philosophy is care in food quality and aesthetics in order to exalt pleasure. Rooms are cozy and well-decorated with dark wooden furniture. Sometimes the club hosts events such as poetry readings or jazz concerts.
