Overview
Easter is celebrated in Palermo with religious processions recreating Jesus' last days on earth. The Cocchieri (coachmen) procession, on Good Friday, is one of the most impressive, when participants dressed in medieval costumes leave from the Chiesa della Madonna dell'ltria carrying the sculptures of the Madonna and Christ and parade all over the city. This place is open at 2pm every Sunday.
