Malox, Palermo

Located in the ring of side streets which lead onto the Biblioteca Regionale, this pub is perhaps best suited to non-locals. It's not an enormous bar, but the outside is great for summer evenings. There are often groups of performers waiting outside Malox for the customers to arrive. The atmosphere is decidedly informal, most regulars are alternative and left wing. There are often live music performances and film screenings, as well as opportunities to dance. There is a selection of cocktails, long drinks and spirits, but no food. Happy hour is from 7:30p-9p, in which all prices are reduced.
