Overview
This village was founded in the 7th-8th Century, under the influences of the Fenix, Greeks and Romans civilizations. It also shows traces from the Byzantines, Normans and Arabs. The majority of the churches and monuments are well preserved, making Marineo an excellent spot for a lesson in history and culture.
