Overview
Oratorio di San Lorenzo at the heart of the city is located in front of the church of San Francesco d'Assisi at the end of 16th Century. This elegant chapel is decorated with magnificent stucco works of Giacomo Serpotta made between 1698 and 1710. The ten reliefs on the walls represent the details of the lives of St. Francis and St. Lawrence. These paintings are revered all over the world and are regarded as the best of the works of Giacomo Serpotta.
