Overview

Palazzo Alliata de Villafranca occupies an entire block and is located in the very center of the city.  Built in the 16th Century, this palace had always been the property of the Alliata family until just recently.  Due to a fight for the legacy, the palace's property and art collection became the property of the city's bishop.  The art collection is one of the most impressive in the city, containing several pieces by van Dyck.
