This excellent restaurant offers wonderful cooking but requires a little patience to find. It is worth the trouble however. It is located in a building that can only be found if you follow the signs very carefully. To enter the restaurant you have to pass through the garden. You immediately notice the antique furniture and an old gramophone with vinyl records. The stairs lead to Cagliostro's Room, named after the mysterious Count who ended his days in the prison of San Leo. The large fireplace, pebble walls and display of wine bottles are very attractive. The lighting is intriguing, warm but not soft. The wine list is particularly impressive, but perhaps emphasizes the north and central Italy at the expense of the south. The starters include thyme sweetbread with Porcini Mushrooms, mixed starters, Aubergine Ravioli, and Tagliolini with rabbit sauce. This is followed by dishes like veal fillet with Porcini Mushrooms or stuffed pheasant breast. The Catalan Cream Dessert with Anis served in tea cup is wonderful.
