Overview

The Azzurro Scipioni was built in 1982 by Silvano Agosti to show a film he had produced himself. In 1991 it was turned into a multiplex and today it is the capital's most famous avant-garde cinema. The Chaplin Auditorium is furnished with seats from an old aeroplane and shows new and previously released films, reviews and the classics of modern cinema. The Lumière Auditorium shows video recordings and on Thursdays, short films by up-coming young directors.
