Guests are welcomed into what remains of the tiers of the Teatro di Pompeo: the first fixed theatre in Rome, dating back to 60 BCE, which could hold up to 20,000 spectators. Tradition has it that this is the place where Julius Caesar was stabbed by Brutus. Today the arches of the third row are all that remain of the theatre.
