Il Capriolo , Rome

The restaurant is in the beautiful area of Rome between the Appia Antica and the San Giovanni district. It has been open for half a century and is perfect place to go for a get together or to celebrate a special occasion. The restaurant is made up of three rooms, all of which have air conditioning. It can cater for up to 180 customers. Service is excellent and they speak English, French and German so foreign tourists can be rest assured that all their requirements will be met. All sorts of people go to Il Capriolo and you often see a famous face from the world of politics or theater. They serve the very best quality food. All the ingredients are fresh and the portions are very generous. The antipasti are superb, as are the first courses like Tagliolini with porcini mushrooms, risotto with cream of langoustine, linguine with lobster meat or gnocchi and ravioli. Their meat-based second courses are also excellent. They are prepared in the traditional way and lightly seasoned. All the desserts are freshly made in the kitchens. The wine list is made up of Italian wines with a particularly large selection of Tuscan wines. They have an excellent Frascati which you can order by glass.
