Overview
Two collections, recounting the period from the dawn of the institution of Garibaldi until the World War II, are housed within the Porta San Pancrazio. The Garibaldi museum contains various records of the Risorgimento period, with many relics of Giuseppe Garibaldi including letters and other personal effects. The red shirts are not to be missed. This museum, founded in 1941, is relatively new and the collection has been enriched over the years by private donations. The second museum recounts a reasonably unknown period when Italian soldiers, fighting in Yugoslavia at the time of the Armistice, joined with the armed forces to beat the Germans. Admission: Free
