Numbs, Rome

Sitting in Piazza Istria, a stone’s throw from Corso Trieste, an area full of banks, businesses and shops, extremely close to the Luiss Guido Carli private university, the lounge bar-restaurant Numbs offers itself as a meeting place for college students as well as work lunches and business dinners. Thanks to great organization, cleanliness and the careful design (even if a bit “snobby”), Numbs is a sought-after spot for a weekend aperitif, even though it’s real pearl is hidden in the dessert menu which boasts truffles made in the Pizzo (in Calabria) tradition. The three flavors available are coffee and vanilla, dark chocolate and almond.
