Ristorante Paris, Rome

In the very heart of Trastevere surrounded by historical buildings, Paris—in Italy, a male name—opened in 1890 and is still standing the test of time. The restaurant, run by the family since then, offers a traditional Jewish-Roman cuisine that is strong, simple and delicate at the same time. Go there for the basics of authentic local cooking! Enjoy all the fried dishes, the soups (skate soup!) and the so called quinto quarto , which is tripe and stewed oxtail. Homemade tiramisù and lightly fried ricotta cheese balls sumptuously complete the meal!
