Teatro dei Cocci, Rome

The Teatro dei Cocci was formed in 1975 in one of Rome's liveliest districts, Testaccio. Since 1990, artistic direction has been the responsibility of the actor Antonello Avallone who is constantly trying to widen the scope of the theatrical productions. He has put on works by Woody Allen such as Play It Again, Sam. He mostly likes Napoleonic theatre and has produced La banda degli onesti by Age Scarpelli and Non è vero.ma ci credo by the great Eduardo De Filippo. The theatre is run by Il Punto cultural association. There are many restaurants to eat at after the performance, to emotion one there is the famous Checchino.
