La Veranda , Rome

This quiet restaurant is in a palace built by Ponticelli at the end of the 15th Century and belonging to the Knights of the Order of the Holy Sepulchre. The service at La Veranda is highly professional and there is a lovely garden terrace where you can dine with soft music in the background. Chef Luca Urriera brings imagination to his cooking with an original use of spices. The dishes on the menu include rice with shrimp, spinach julienne, chickpea ravioli with a hot, spicy sauce, fish filets with peas and saffron, or pumpkin flowers with shrimp. There are several original types of bread, tarallo biscuits and bread sticks.
