This tour is offered by the Tourist Guide Association of Trieste and lasts around four hours, covering some of the most important city sites with a competent, multilingual guide. It leaves from the central railway station, at the entrance to the city and then goes to the neo-Gothic, evangelical church. From here, it visits the distinctive, Ponterosso market in Borgo Teresiano and the extraordinary temple of the powerful and historic Serb Orthodox community. The guide then leads the tour to Piazza della Borsa and Piazza dell'Unità d'Italia, the pulsating heart of the city, and it stops for a coffee at the historic café, Tommaso. The last stop is towards the Capitolino hill, the highest in the city, where the San Giusto cathedral and castle can be found. For information and booking contact the association.
