All'Ombra, Venice

This bar/restaurant is located in the Cannaregio zone near Rialto, in a pretty little piazza. As the name, All'Ombra suggests, you can come here to drink a relaxing glass of wine (ombra is a very popular type of Venetian wine). Tourists tend to come here quite a lot so it can be very crowded, however there is usually a place at the bar. It is open all day and is an ideal place to have your breakfast before exploring the city. It offers various traditional Venetian dishes including octopus, sardines, and vegetables, creamy cod, pasta and fish. The kitchen is open until 2a. There is a good range of local wines available.
