Overview
L'Incontro is situated in Rio Tera Canal, even though you are better off asking for directions to the Pugni bridge, since the proper name is hardly ever used. The food is really quite good, considering that this is only a tavern and not a fully fledged restaurant. The tables are split between two rooms and the clientele is made up mostly of locals as well as a few students. Unlike the majority of Venetian restaurants, L'incontro specialises in meat dishes which are always excellent. It also serves up several Sardinian specialities. There is a very competent wine list.
