Trattoria Ai Cugnai, Venice

This small trattoria is located on a side street within a five-minute walk from the Museo dell'Accademia. A family owns and manages the restaurant whose signature is the friendly atmosphere and the traditional homemade food based on seasonal and local products. Ai Cugnai serves a variety of seafood and fish, as well as other select choices such as Venetian-style liver, pasta with meat sauce and grilled vegetables. The wine list features mostly bottles from the Veneto region, and the prices are reasonable.
