Alecrim às Flores, Lisbon

Alecrim às Flores was originally a foundry, later a canteen and is now a restaurant. The original building was restored keeping intact the arches, arcades, cradle ceiling and original floor, combining it with minimal decor and interior work. Brightly lit, the colors add warmth to the place and make it cozy and comfortable. The restaurant offers Mediterranean cuisine with more emphasis on local Portuguese food. Try the cod, salmon or veal with rucola or fowl liver with honey and sherry and nero pasta with tiger prawns and for desert have the Eusebio ice cream with chocolate, cream and strawberries or wild berries.
