The horse museum at Dartfield will delight visitors of all ages. The user-friendly and attractive panels, display information about the evolution of Irish horses, what they were used for and how the breeds were developed. Replicas of old style carriages and farm machinery will give you an insight into the role these proud stallions played in Irish history.
The museum is open 7 days per week all year round. The opening hours are 9am – 6pm.

The Historic Dartfield Horse Museum and Heritage Centre is a must see for horse and dog lovers. The museum was initially intended to pay tribute to Irish horses but now has expanded to give you a peek into the rustic past of rural Ireland as well! This is not just a museum, the 350 acres of parkland also lets you have coach parties, horse rides or simply relax at the cafe or saddlery shop.
