Barnabier, Barcelona

This beer hall was one of the first places to open at Port Olympic when it was built for the Games in 1992. It is located within one of the Twin Towers. The great scenery and views of the port and the Mediterranean sea set the tone here; there is also good service and the lively customers love their tapas. In keeping with the Olympic setting, the gold medal goes to their Bombas (deep-fried mashed potato balls with ground meat inside and covered in spicy sauce), the silver medal goes to their Chorizo Devil Sausage, and the bronze is shared by the Ensaladilla (potato salad), the Patatas Bravas (fried potatoes with spicy sauce) and other delights.
