Casa de los Canónigos or the House of Canons is situated in the splendid Gothic Quarter of Barcelona. Built during the late 13th and early 14th century, it was previously the home to the Canons of Seo. However in the 20th century the first president of the Generalitat de Catalunya (Government of Catalonia) chose the Casa de los Canónigos to be the official residence of the same. The building is a architectural mixture influenced from the Renaissance, Gothic and Baroque architectural styles. Definitely worth a visit this beautiful edifice is connected with the Palau de la Generalitat through a bridge over Bisbe street.
