Overview
This street runs through the Gothic Quarter and Barceloneta. The Viceroy lived in the square area from the 17th to the 19th Centuries and his residence was connected to the Santa Maria Church by a raised passageway. This street was an important passageway into the city from the port. The neoclassical Lonja de Barcelona is worth visiting. It still retains the remains of a Gothic building designed by Pere Llobet between 1380 and 1392.
