The Ictíneo II submarine first set for a voyage on October 2, 1864 and was built from wood and copper. Weighing 46 tonnes it was was 14 m long, 2 meters wide and 3 meters high. An exact replica of the boat has been installed at Port Vell. With an eye for details, the submarine has been meticulously sculpted and amazes one and all. Do visit the Port Vell and see this wonder of Technology along with the other picturesque and scenic spots along the harbor.
