Ramón Parellada owns and manages Senyor Parellada that has been in his family and in the same location for generations. His forefathers used to serve adventurers and colonists on their way to the New World. Today, he prepares typical Catalan dishes with a wonderful Picada sauce made with garlic, nuts, toasted bread, parsley and spices. His Cannelloni Fonda Europa: a recipe inherited from his grandparents' inn in Granollers, is outstanding, as are the stewed beef with artichokes and the rice with lentils. Good Catalan wines like Prat de Medea or Clarege Gran Caus are available, or opt directly for Llopart Brut Nature Cava: a sparkling wine, like many locals do.
