The San Pedro Apóstol parish in the Dalt Vila area of the city did not have its own church until the State granted the use of the so-called "Convent" church to the diocese in 1929. The foundations for the church were laid in the 16th Century, but it was not completely finished until the 18th Century. The church is dedicated to the Santo Cristo del Cementerio, whose chapel was extended at the end of the 19th Century. The chapel of Madre de Dios del Rosario deserves a special mention. Various frescoes and paintings can be seen in the church, some of them by unknown artists. The parish cemetery was located a few meters away, where Ibiza's Town Hall now stands. There are no visiting times as such, but you can visit the church during mass, which is held on Sa at 7p and on Su at noon and at 7p.
