The village of Balàfia is regarded as being of great cultural interest by local institutions. It is a group of five privately-owned houses that are all examples of the typical style of traditional Ibizan architecture. You can get to the village by turning next to the church of San Lorenzo. The houses are only a few meters' walk away down the earth track. Two of the houses have defense towers adjoining the main house, while another has a tower that is separate from the main building. As the houses are privately owned, you can only view them from the outside.
