Anarkoli, Madrid

Anarkoli has so many impressive features that it s almost impossible to count them all. For starters, their menu is twelve pages long, and everything on it is delicious. From tikka biriani to lamb, this place has got it all—there s even a section of special menus for two . Also, the waiters have extremely pleasant attitudes and offer rapid service. On top of all that, Anarkoli serves up culture too. Once a year, they participate in the local Bollywood festival in the heart of Lavapiés, serving Indian food to passers-by for 1 or 2 EUR an item. During the summer they offer terrace dining, though the inside—with its bright salmon-colored walls and photos of Indian classical dancers—is very entertaining. - Michelle Campagna
