La Cabra del Tejado, or "The Goat on the Roof," is a menagerie of interior decorating techniques. On the one hand, it's a throwback to the 50s with its round, red bar stools and retro lighting. On the other hand, there's a massive, Magritte-like mural covering one of the walls, adding extra pizzazz to this otherwise easy-going locale. Regardless of its schizophrenic décor, this place is perfect for Sunday drifters and relaxed flea-market shoppers looking for a stress-free time; the laid-back attitude floating between clientele and waiters alike is contagious. The beers are cheap and exquisitely pulled, while the "tapas"—mainly breads, a wide assortment of cheeses, and international sauces—are very tastebud-friendly. Try the toast with Gouda cheese and pesto, for example—it's a local favorite. - Michelle Campagna
