Funded and developed by the Catalan bank Caixa, this contemporary art gallery is rather new in the city as it was finished in 2007. The architects designed this building out of an abandoned electrical station and its rust colored facade stands in contrast to all of the verdant green foliage on the building next door. Upon entering, the visitor is warmly greeted by curators and most of the art on all four floors is from local as well as more famous artists. The museum also presents events for kids, performance art, movie screenings and live music during the summer.
