Don't confuse this place with the usual run-of-the mill, cheap and cheerful Tex-Mex joints. The food here is elaborately prepared, refined and sophisticated, reminiscent of chapters from Laura Esquivel's sensual novel, Like Water for Chocolate. Prawns are the house specialty. The brightly painted, Mexican-style dining room is part of a tastefully restored palace and it's run by a family of painters. With its subtle lighting and exotic decor, it's the perfect place for a romantic dinner. You can choose from a wide selection of beers and cocktails and a limited selection of wines. Portions are small, so you can order quite a few to share.
