Festival de Arte Sacro, Madrid

This is your opportunity to see and hear works of art (music, poetry, dance and theater) that were created to be performed in churches in their natural setting. It's also your chance to explore the cultural and historical heritage of Madrid manifested in its churches. For four to five weeks, churches in and around the city are used for live performances where you can hear music by composers such as Boccherini, Bach and Mozart as well as traditional choral singing and see dance pieces by prestigious national and international companies. Churches like San Jerónimo, San Sebastián and San Marcos in Madrid as well as others in nearby towns including Alcalá de Henares, Alcorcón, San Lorenzo de El Escorial and Leganés participate.
