La Ida feels like heaven for the cool kids: virtually everyone here is younger than 35 and dressed in the trendiest threads. Yet in spite of the uniqueness of the patrons, they still have to fight for standing room and clamor for beers when the weekend comes, just as they would have to nearly everywhere else. Funk, pop, and indie music can be heard over the speakers, while strange displays of photography and modern art can be seen hanging on the mint green walls or from the ceiling in this alternative bar-slash-makeshift art gallery.
