La Panza es Primero, Madrid

The Belly Comes first, as this restaurant is literally called, offers up some decent Mexican food in a city that s utterly lacking in the Mexican food department. The classics are all on the menu – from tacos to quesadillas – though the house specialty is the deliciously belly-fattening nacho plate with guacamole. A local favorite is the Mad Chicken, which is cooked in a strong, biting Austurian cheese. Top off the meal with a Corona or Pacífico, which will come in handy when trying to beat back the spiciness. If the meal isn t impressive enough, the colorful, sombrero and Mexican wrestling kitsch factor will be worth the trip alone. -Michelle Campagna
