One of the most prestigious drama schools in the city of Madrid, and even the country, the inception of RESAD can be traced back as far as 1831, when the Queen Maria Christina de Napoles founded the Royal Conservatory of Music and Declamation. As a drama school, RESAD has an extensive curriculum and covers all possible aspects of performing arts. Besides education, this institution also uses its facilities for various intriguing performances. In all, the RESAD has about 1,0000 square meters of space where in the events take place, and this space is divided into three categories of spaces; which are the Sala Valle-Inclan, the second space is the Library in which there is also a multipurpose room called the Sala Garcia Lorca. And the third comprises various spaces around the campus, including a porch which gives a space of 400 square meters. For more information on upcoming events and other details please see the website.
