Parish Church of Sant Jaume was built in 1236 A.D, where worship was held in an old mosque building. In 1327 A.D work began on this Gothic (in architecture) church. It had a cross-vaulted nave and keystones decorated, with the coats of arms of the noble families who gave money for its construction. The main door or portal dates from 1776 A.D and is in late baroque style. This church collapsed in 1870 A.D and was rebuilt recently. You will find a beautiful rose colored glass window here with the altars made in gold. Behind the church, the road leads to other baroque buildings, a convent of the Capuchin nuns and the Church of Puríssima Concepció.
