The Salamanca Carnival now just comprises the events organized by a few districts in the city and residents' associations. The districts involved are La Vega, Garrido, San Isidro, Puente Ladrillo, Delicias, Prosperidad and Rollo-Comuneros. The residents' associations are AGSO and AVESI. The events include parades, fancy dress, open-air dances and more. Everything is street-based and suitable for any age. This festival is best appreciated at night, when the stylish Casino de Salamanca and the bars in the Gran Vía or Calle Bordadores put on entertainment, allowing everyone to give free rein to their imagination whether or not they are in fancy dress.

- Venue Description:
Salamanca is a beautiful city located in western Spain. The city has a huge student population, and hence is a very lively place at almost any time of the year. Most of the city structures are constructed with sandstone adding a glow to the edifice—that gives a reason for the city being nicknamed The Golden City. When you are touring Salamanca, don't forget to check out the two Cathedrals, the La Casa de las Conchas, and the Roman bridge, which are famous tourist spots. And before you leave the city make sure you sample some of the Charreria, which is a Salamancan casserole made with scrumptious garbanzo beans.
