Overview
Next to the statue of Christopher Columbus in the Plaza de Colón, surrounded by palaces and landscaped areas is this church which belonged to the old Triniarios Convent, built in the 17th century. Before going inside, stop and look at the façade, which has three gates with semi-circular arches, and the belfry, where a number of families of storks make their nests. Inside, on the main altar, you'll see the statue of 'Jesús Rescatado' (the Risen Christ), to which the locals like to pray. Once a year, the locals make endless queues to kiss the feet of the statue.
