The San Sebastian Aquarium is one of the most important tourist attractions in the city, but the café/bar that is above it is worth visiting on its own. This is one of the prime pieces of bar real estate in the city, on the edge of the Parte Vieja overlooking the bay. If you grab a seat on the terrace at sunset, you'll be met with a feast for the eyes as the sun turns the sky bright pink, illuminating the island in the distance. The drinks here may be a bit pricier than in some of the other bars in the area, and the bar closes quite a bit earlier than most of the local pubs-earlier than most Spaniards even eat their dinner-but have your aperitif here at least once, and you won't regret it.
